Great News - Review of the new Sigean CD "Lone Shanakyle" by Tom Netherland of the Bristol Herald-Courier. "Attention Celtic fans - Tri-Cities based "Sigean" recently released a new album "Lone Shanakyle". Consisting of jigs and reels and traditional Celtic tunes with a slight Appalachian twist, the album features a band well in touch with that which they do.
Not easy. As with most cultural music, Celtic music played well isn't easily played. But listen from the celebratory "Blow Ye Winds" to the melancholic "Lone Shanakyle". Lend an ear as much tunes as "Crested Hens" transport the listener across the pond and to the emerald greens of Ireland and Scotland. Well done, lads and gal. To buy the album, visit one of the band's concerts, their website - www.sigeanband.com, or email Tom Swadley at tomswadley@yahoo.com and for $15 they will hook you up with their fine CD."
